An intensive in Character Dance, Creative Movement, Ballet, Modern, Music for Dancers, Dance History, Yoga and Choreography (The workshop builds incrementally.
Students choosing partial participation must consult registrar.)

Day Workshop Tuition: $500
$300 for each week
Staff: Carly Boland, Brooke Byrne and Freesia Huth
with Guest Artist: Dale Allen Boland
(BFA Theatre/Tulane University; Orff-Schulwerk Certification/Mills College) has taught active music to Bay Area students of all ages for many years. Using songs, stories, games, body percussion and instruments, Dale leads students on a journey of exploration through the elements of music.
Sample Schedule:
9:00 to 9:45 Creative Movement
9:45 to 10:30 Yoga/Modern
10:30 to 10:45 Snack
10:45 to 12:15 Music and Movement
12:15 to 1:15
Lunch at Frog Park
1:15 to 2:15 Choreography or Ballet
2:45 to 3:00 Visual Art/Dance History, Character/Stretching
Danspace has offered Children’s dance classes in the Rockridge area since 1985. The philosophy of the school is that building confidence and self-esteem at a young age promotes future learning success and happiness.
This workshop is focused on creating a safe and loving environment for students to explore their own authentic expression and creativity.
The workshop will culminate in an open showing on Friday, July 30th at 2:00 pm.
